Meaning key codes

The Mauer key codes are constructed in a fixed way.

With the explanation below you can check which key profile it is and whether it is a locking plan or mono set.Key codes are always engraved in the key head. Compare this key code with the number on your certificate (if applicable)

• Locking plans are always structured as follows: 4 digits + 1 letter
• On certificates for locking systems the additions G, H or C are used. These refer to a General Master Key System (GH), Master Key System (H) or Central System (C)
• Mono sets or single cylinders have a 6, 7 or 8 digit code
• A number of mono profiles have an additional 3-digit key profile code
• On certificates for mono cylinders or sets, the profile is listed first, followed by the profile code and then the mono code.
• Basic locking plan number: 1234A
• For GHS: GH-1234A
• For HS: H-1234M
• For Central system: C-1234M
• Mono code: 123456, 1234567 or 12345678
