SKG stands for Quality Foundation for Building Facades. This is an independent certification body that monitors the quality of the products and the production process of companies in the construction industry.
Mauer, too, has had a large number of products approved by this institution. Since most of our products are intended, for example, to lock up your house or commercial building, it is desirable to know what degree of burglar resistance the product offers.

Mauer Nederland has added a technical patent to its cylinder profiles. The so-called Front Profile 2 patent (FP2).
The great advantage of applying this FP2 patent to cylinders and keys is that it ensures that only original key blanks are used. In this document, the patent is further explained.

Mauer uses fixed and clear surcharges on cylinders and repeat orders. No surprises afterwards. We are clear about that. Due to our own assembly, we can deliver quickly. In addition, we can provide various customised services such as: separate packaging or numbering, supplying partial certificates or extra service by means of advice from design to delivery and maintenance.

Of course, it may happen that the original certificate is no longer available. Then it is possible to request a duplicate. This goes through a dealer affiliated with us, where you can request a duplicate. This form can only be downloaded if the dealer has a login code. This form can be found behind the login in the account environment.

The locking cylinder must not be mounted under tension in the door and must be able to rotate freely. The locking cylinder is fitted with a lock that is suitable for the intended use.

Pulling a cylinder, or cylinder tapping, involves pulling the cylinder or the core of the cylinder out of the door by inserting a screw and applying mechanical pressure. This causes the cylinder to break and a burglar can get in within 30 seconds. To prevent this, residents can install security fittings with cylinder pull protection or replace their current cylinders with an SKG*** cylinder.
