The backset is the distance between the front of the faceplate and the centre of the handle and/or cylinder hole.
Our range of locks is available in various (common) backset sizes, both wide and narrow.
The Mauer project series 8200, for example, is available from stock in backset sizes 50 to 100 mm.
The narrow locks are available in backset sizes 18 to 45 mm.
Door sizes that deviate from the above and/or those not mentioned are generally available on order.
PC-dimension: Distance between the heart of the handle hole and the heart of the profile cylinder. Heart distance: Distance between the heart of the handle hole and the heart of the keyhole or the vacant/occupied hole.

For the Dutch market we use fixed PC sizes.
The Mauer residential locks 1500 series have a fixed PC size of 55 mm.
The other lock series, the Mauer 8200 and 9000 series all have a PC size of 72 mm,
Also the bath/toilet locks of these series.
Narrow door locks are also available with a PC dimension of 92 mm. The shipping locks have a PC-dimension of 75 mm.
The terms latch bolt and dead bolt refer to the way a door closes in the strike plate of deadbolts. The latch bolt is the angled part of the lock that can be moved with the door handle, a rotary knob or key. The latch bolt is usually located at the top of the faceplate of the mechanical lock.

When determining the direction of rotation, the doors are viewed from the inside. The illustrations show the different directions of rotation. These directions of rotation are indicated in accordance with the DIN standard and indicate the position of the latch bolt in relation to the striker plate.

The Mauer 1500 and 1545 series of magnetic locks consist of a complete range of inner door locks for residential construction including D+N (PZW and BB), barrel (F), cabinet (PZ and BB), BAD/WC (W) but also sliding door locks (PC and BAD/WC). With backset size 50, distance 55 mm (63 mm for BAD/WC) and 174x20x2.5 mm rounded front plate, they are especially suitable for the Dutch market.
In addition, there is a series of housing with magnetic lock, the 1545 locks.
All versions are available with white painted front plate (RAL9010) and stainless steel front plate. The 1500 series is now also available with black painted front plate!
The 1545 series locks with magnetic lock are available with a stainless steel or black front plate.
Please note: the locks with magnetic lock only work in combination with a matching lock plate!
